São Filipe Aerodrome serves the island of Fogo (the second island to be populated in the archipelago) and is located less than 2km south-east of the centre of São Filipe city: the third oldest city in the archipelago.
This aerodrome has a 1,500m long by 30m wide runway, with capacity to receive up to three aircraft. In 2018, it registered 66,818 passengers, a number that tends to grow due to Cape Verde’s commitment to development.
